PvP ("Player vs. Player") is a webcomic by Scott Kurtz that began in the late 1990s and ran daily for over 20 years. It was very popular for its time and was up there with comics like Penny Arcade.
Years later, Scott shut down pvponline.com on July 18th, 2026, redirecting the domain to his personal website, and in the process, made the comic no longer available to read for free.
The back catalogue is sold as a paid collected ("Definitive") edition. As far as I can tell, there is currently no official way to just sit down and read the archive for free the way you once could.
So I made this preservation... archivey... thing. It doesn't sell anything, doesn't run ads, and doesn't ask you for anything. It just keeps the comic readable.
Me myself, I have mixed feelings about the guy. Especially on how he treats the availability of his comic, making a formerly free archive available only through these paid collections.
If you wanna support the guy, go ahead. The "Definitive" editions are available on Scott Kurtz's website for anyone who wants to read these strips in a somewhat better way. This project is NOT supposed to overshadow or replace that version in any way, shape or form.
comic.html#1234, so any strip can be bookmarked.PvP and its original characters are owned by Scott Kurtz.
Most of the comics here are from AChillVamp's Internet Archive collection. This project wouldn't be possible without their work archiving most (if not ALL) of the strips. Huge kudos!
This is an unofficial, non-commercial fan archive with no affiliation to either person. If AChillVamp or Scott Kurtz wants anything changed or taken down, that will be honored. Please just contact me on Discord at diglasddouglas.
